TEA TREE THE PLANT
- Scientific name: Melaleuca Alternifolia.
- Description: As small tree of the Myrtaceae family, with needle-like leaves and white, yellow or purple flowers.
- Origins: It grows mainly in Australia.
- History: References to its medical use by Aborigines in Australia. In World War II it was an essential drug for infections, to heal wounds and to treat skin problems.
TEA TREE “BIOLOGOS” ESSENTIAL OIL
- Technique: Extracted from the leaves and branches of the plant through steam distillation.
- Composition: Contains a- and b-pinene, myrcene, sampinene, a-phellandrene, a-terpinene, y-terpinene, terpinen-4-ol (30-48% ) and a-terpineol , limonene, 1,8-cineole (15%), p-cymene, terpinolene, linalool, ingredients that ensure the therapeutic qualities of this oil.
- Scent: Mildly “medicinal”.
- Country: Australia.
Combine with: Essential oils of Geranium, Rosemary, Nutmeg, Lavender, Oregano, Clove.
