ROSEWOOD THE PLANT
Scientific name: Aniba Rosaedora.
Description: Evergreen tropical tree with a height up to 40 m., mainly used for timber.
Origins: Native in Peru and Brazil.
History: References to the therapeutic use of the plant by natives in the Amazon, in the treatment of wounds.
ROSEWOOD “BIOLOGOS” ESSENTIAL OIL
Technique: Extracted from the trunk of the tree through steam distillation.
Composition: High concentration (up to 95%) in monoterpenes (linalool, geraniol), sesquiterpenes (a-copaene) and oxides (cis-linalool oxide), ingredients that ensure the beneficial qualities of this oil.
Scent: Medium to strong, sweet, flowery and colour light yellow, almost translucent.
Country: Brazil.
QUALITIES
Antiseptic, anti-bacterial, stimulant to the nervous system, relaxing, anti-depressant, aphrodisiac.
