OREGANO “BIOLOGOS” ESSENTIAL OIL
Technique: Extracted from the leaves of the plant through steam distillation.
Composition: High concentration of carvacrol (82%), thymol and terpenes (rosmarinic acid and naringin), ingredients with a strong beneficial quality. Rich in inorganic ingredients: calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, copper, zinc, boron, manganese and vitamins Α and C, ingredients that ensure the therapeutic qualities of this oil.
Scent: Spicy, strong.
Colour: Light to dark green.

QUALITIES
Powerful anti-microbial, anti-fungal, natural antibiotic, anti-oxidant.
Aromatherapy uses:
- All kinds of seasonal viral infections, common cold, flu (even Η1 Ν1), pneumonia, sinusitis, otitis, encephalitis, hepatits.
- Also, against eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatism, allergies and gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, flatulence, colitis).
- Research has proven its effectiveness against diabetes, while a recent study at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki proved it strong anti-oxidant action against the oxidation of lipoproteins in blood serum.
- Its antibiotic activity has been documented with laboratory evidence (1 drop of Oregano oil in a glass of water is enough). Also it has no side effects, nor is it addictive, as usually happens with chemical antibiotics.
- Very helpful for pain due to mild burns (1 drop of Oregano oil in one spoonful of olive oil).
- It provides relief in case of difficulty in the respiratory tract and the lungs (through inhalations or with 1 drop of Oregano oil on a tissue under the pillow).
- Ideal against psoriasis, fungal infection and skin afflictions (2-3 drops in one spoonful of olive oil).
- In case of allergy to wasp or bee sting, timely application of Oregano oil will have spectacular results.
DOSAGE
Oregano oil is drinkable and the dosage is 1 drop in some water or tea or juice or in one spoonful of olive oil, 2-3 times a day. In case of long-term use it is recommended to pause for 1 week after every two weeks.
Combine with: Εssential oils of Pine, Thyme, Tea Tree, Rosemary, Nutmeg.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Prohibited during pregnancy or for persons with iron deficiency.
Not to be used on open sores.
