Nova Emostop hemostatic swab is a medical device designed for dressing superficial wounds. It promotes clot formation near the wound, quickly stopping bleeding. It is ideal for the topical treatment of minor skin injuries like epistaxis (nosebleeds), abrasions, cuts, small surgical wounds, and wounds with exudate, particularly in emergency situations.
Indications:
- Treatment of epistaxis (nosebleeds)
- Superficial skin lesions, such as cuts, abrasions, and minor surgical wounds
- Emergency care of exuding wounds
Warnings:
- For external use only. Do not ingest.
- Do not use on deep wounds, wounds with damaged dermis, or those with active infections.
- It may cause a localized burning sensation, especially on sensitive or already irritated skin.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Avoid use if there is a known allergy to any component of the product.
- Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
- Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days.
- Consult a pharmacist or doctor if using other products on the wound concurrently.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from light.
How to use:Epistaxis (Nosebleeds):
- Gently blow your nose to clear any clots.
- Use a whole swab or a portion of it and insert it into the affected nostril.
- Apply light pressure to help control the bleeding.
- Small External Wounds (e.g., cuts, injection sites, abrasions, razor cuts):
Clean the wound thoroughly before use.
- Apply the swab directly to the wound, maintaining light pressure.
- Leave the swab on the wound until the bleeding stops, but for no longer than 30 minutes.
- If needed, you can repeat this application up to 2 times per day until healing progresses.
